The Founder’s Story

PFK grew from Paula Fox’s passion for all things natural and her wish to help others discover their perfect way to an inner calm……. The K stands for Kaizen, the Japanese philosophy of “Change for the Better".

Paula's Journey

Life is non-stop as a working mum with two teenage boys, and having a routine of having to be organised helps me to cope with the chaos of modern life. But like many other people, I have been overwhelmed by stress, anxiety and the pain of physical injury.

My happy place became my yoga mat, where I was able to find balance and strength and I was so passionate about the benefits, that I decided to become a yoga teacher.

After my mother fell very ill and was housebound, I found she was using air fresheners that were full of man-made chemicals and fragrances, which seemed to worsen her already weakened respiratory system. I had been using essential oils myself and knew they made me feel instantly uplifted and calm.

So, using my totally natural essential oils, I made her a candle. I wanted to surround her with pure aromas and hoped that the experience would ease her anxiety and help her to find inner peace.

That first candle was such a success, I started making them for friends and family. Then before I knew it, I was making wellness candles using oils that not only smell wonderful but could even benefit certain conditions. And so, PFK was born….
